like danny i am sceptical of the poem's focus being a woman; perhaps only because that would be too easy.

lovely imagery through and through, and like Rap's Daughter (great story by the way, one of my favorites!!) i enjoy the familiarity of the first line and the way i get tangled up in the preveribal sheets as each stanza twists and turns its way to an end.

beautifully written too.

I am deciphering the imagery like a puzzle
and I could only think of one, Tom, the holy bible.

this does have a divine lilt to it. i like that each stanza begins the same, grounded way and then spins off into an ethereal description.

love "words like teeth to shoulders" ..."folded origami this way and that"

i really do feel you sighing in her presence

and the very last line...sends me

utterly lovely
